Meet The Team
Andrew is the joint founder and owner of Hugo Technology.
Having had a successful career within the NHS working in Birmingham hospitals as a biomedical engineer, Andrew met business partner Warwick, and Hugo Technology was born.
“My experience working on equipment in busy hospital settings really formed my work ethic and approach to running a business.
I have always strived to do my very best, knowing that people’s loved ones, including my own, will depend upon the services I am personally responsible for.”
Outside of work Andrew is an established Scout Leader.
Finance & Commercial Director
Warwick manages the financial and commercial operations with a strong focus on efficiency.
Previously employed within the NHS biomedical field, where he met business partner Andrew, Warwick has first-hand experience of the human side to the medical engineering sector.
“I always try to keep this perspective in the forefront of our employees’ minds; the job really matters, the quality of someone’s life genuinely depends upon the services we offer.
I have dedicated over two decades to growing and developing Hugo and our people, to deliver a first-class service to leading medical OEMs.”
In his spare time Warwick enjoys playing golf and renovating houses.
Judith is responsible for the day to day financial aspects of Hugo Technology. Alongside providing support to the Directors, she assists the Human Resource function of the business where required.
Prior to joining Hugo in 2001, Judith worked in the banking and finance sector.
“I have watched the company grow and go from strength to strength in my twenty-plus years here. The success of Hugo is built on a strong foundation of solid ethics, integrity and an unyielding company-wide ethos of hard work and excellence.”
Outside of work Judith is a proud mum, a Cub Scout Leader and enjoys gardening and walking her Border Colllie.
Dan oversees Logistics, Warehouse Operations and Medical Device Stock Control while supporting special medical device projects at Hugo Technology since joining in 2018.
His proactive approach nurtures successful partnerships with medical device OEMs.
“I really enjoy looking at the processes and how services and projects are built and managed from conception to completion.
My previous experience in Operations has provided me with a solid understanding of how Operations, Logistical Supply Chains and Customer Service Operations function against the wider business.”
Outside of work, Dan, a father of three active sons, embraces all things petrol-powered.
John is at the helm of Hugo Technology's Back-to Base Function, overseeing a team of 37 skilled professionals responsible for medical device repair, maintenance, testing, de-commissioning and pre-commissioning, trained directly by OEMs.
“I am excited that we are working toward ISO14001 and improving our sustainability whilst reducing our carbon footprint. I personally have a very keen interest in renewable energy and the benefit to the planet’s future.”
With 35 years of Service and Management experience across multiple industries and disciplines, John brought a wide range of skills to Hugo Technology when he joined in 2019.
John has two teenage sons and an energetic Labrador to keep him occupied in his free time.
Systems & Compliance Manager
Neil manages the Systems and Compliance Team, whilst also overseeing the company’s ISO Accreditations, Internal Systems and Processes, IT Systems and Database, Health and Safety and Facilities.
A strong background in Quality Management has enabled Neil to enhance processes and systems since he began with Hugo Technology in 2016.
“Having been instrumental in developing our robust and flexible internal systems, it is no exaggeration to say that I have experienced first-hand how our customers reap the benefits of our unique and diligent approach.
Neil is an avid player of modern board games, video games and is a lifelong supporter of Aston Villa FC.
National Field Service Manager
Sam manages a 20-strong nationwide Medical Device Field Service Engineer Team.
The team is split into North and South divisions, with each half having a dedicated Team Leader.
“I have been with Hugo Technology since 2013; enabling the Field Team to support medical devices within the UK.
Occasionally, we will support our OEM partners’ European and worldwide field operations, covering installs, service and repair. I absolutely thrive on, and relish the challenge of planning projects set out by our medical device OEMs.”
In his spare time Sam is a season ticket holder at Coventry City FC and regularly enjoys playing football, golf and squash.
Responsible for Marketing and Business Development, Stephens also ensures the consolidation of both new and existing commercial contracts.
With a naturally inventive and positive outlook, Stephens has brought a wealth of experience to Hugo Technology since he joined in 2021.

Stephens plays football for a local over 35s team and is a Chelsea Football Club supporter and a proud father of two.

Their responsibilities encompass dispatching the Field Engineer Team and meticulously planning their workload.
Dedicated communication lines are established to facilitate seamless interaction between OEMs, their clientele and Hugo Technology personnel.
