Warwick and Stephens to fly Hugo's flag

We are excited to announce that Hugo Technology, in collaboration with the UK Department of Business and Trade, will be proudly exhibiting at Medica 2023, offering Medical Device Support for OEMs.

Stephens Alexander, Business Manager and Warwick Oakey, Finance & Commercial Director and Hugo's 50% owner will be flying Hugo Technology's flag. You can locate them in Hall 16, Stand HO3 from 13th – 16th November 2023.

This premier event brings together leaders in the medical device industry. We are looking to connect with decision makers from global medical device manufacturers (OEMs) for support in relation to their medical device repair and maintenance strategy.

At Hugo Technology, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of innovation, offering comprehensive support to medical device manufacturers that are looking to establish or expand their repair and maintenance capabilities worldwide.

Our Back To base Service

During our exhibition at MEDICA 2023, we will be showcasing how some leading medical device manufacturers (OEMs) overcome their worldwide logistical challenges and customs costs, by harnessing the expertise, Inward Processing Relief status and capabilities of Hugo Technology’s Back-To-Base service.

Our Back-To-Base service entails OEMs shipping medical devices from various global locations to us for efficient repair, maintenance and upgrades, whilst maintaining a swift turnaround on Service Level Agreement KPIs.

Furthermore, we provide the added convenience of maintaining a pool of loan units at our facilities and facilitating effortless swap-outs for any malfunctioning medical devices globally.

Leverage our IPR status, gain operational savings:

Why send us your medical devices from outside the UK?

Hugo Technology can offer support to OEM devices located outside of the United Kingdom, by bringing medical devices to our UK based workshop facilities for repair and maintenance.

Due to our Inward Processing Relief Authorisation status, we are able to reduce or in some cases, delay import duties or VAT on devices sent to our UK workshops for repair and return.

By working with Hugo Technology, you gain access to these benefits that can significantly enhance your operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

The Hugo Advantage:

Independent Service Organisation:

Our medical device services are exclusively rendered on equipment for which we have received authorisation and training from you, the OEM or distributor. This approach means that we do not compete with our clients for Service Contracts.

Cost Savings:

Suspended or reduced duties and taxes mean lower operational costs for your business.

Regulatory Compliance:

By carefully following OEM work Instructions, ISO standards and legal requirements, you can rest assured that your medical devices adhere to the most stringent regulatory standards whilst in our care.

Technical Expertise:

Benefit from our team of 45 skilled engineers and technicians, ready to support your operations.

State-of-the-Art Facilities:

Our two centrally located UK workshops are equipped with cutting-edge technology to cater to your medical device servicing needs should you wish to make use of our streamlined global logistics processes.
